10TH-11TH OCTOBER 2015 in LONDON
We are thrilled to be hosting the fabulous Ms Jesse Stanbridge of FCBD® for an exciting weekend of workshops and performances in the second weekend of October, plus to have the chance to celebrate the ATS® Worldwide Flash mob in an iconic part of London town with you!
All 4 workshops are now SOLD OUT! If you would like to be on the waiting list, please read on for more details and email email@example.com :
WORKSHOP 1: UNDER THE MICROSCOPE: ATS® TECHNIQUE
The difference between a good dancer and a great dancer is a great dancer can captivate with a single movement. Perfect the cells of movement that combine to give ATS® life. In this workshop, we will aim to refine and perfect the nuances of ATS® movement.
WORKSHOP 2: FORMATION STATION
An overview of formations used in American Tribal Style® and how we can infuse some excitement into them. We’ll first review the basics, and then spice it up a bit with new and interesting concepts.
Duets, Trios and Quartets will be reviewed, spicing them up with Café Style, Duelling Duets, the Chevron and Staggers along with ways to dance to 2, 3 and 4 sided audiences.
WHEN: Saturday 10th October 2015 from 11.00am-4pm with an hour’s lunch break.
*Join us after Saturday’s workshops for the ATS® WORLDWIDE FLASH MOB!*
WORKSHOP 3: MINDFUL MUSICALITY
“Dancing is the child of Music and Love.” – A Fandango. It’s a dancer’s responsibility to embody the music in a way that will excite the audience. In this workshop, we’ll map a fast and slow song from the ATS(r) catalogue and explore how best to express them.
Song mapping, musical phrasing and contrast will be covered. Handouts will be given.
WORKSHOP 4: CRAFTING A SET
While we’ll always be working on technique, another tool that is crucial to have in any ATS® dancers coin belt is: presentation. Based on everything we’ve learned all weekend, we’ll work on ways to craft a dynamic set. Oh, but there’s more! There will be a practical exercise in which we’ll have the opportunity to give our fellow dancers feedback! So, bring a pen/pencil, paper along with your zils! It’s going to be action packed!
This workshop will cover everything from facial expression and curbing nervousness before hitting the stage, to proper presentation and putting together an exciting set within a given time limit. Videos will be provided.
WHEN: Sunday 11th October 2015 from 11.00am-4pm with an hour’s lunch break
*Join us after Sunday’s workshops for the FireWater show. For bookings please see: www.picturehouses.com *
These workshops are aimed at the Intermediate/Advanced dancer and count towards the Sister Studio Continuing Education Program for anyone enrolled in this program.

ABOUT JESSE STANBRIDGE:
Jesse’s love affair with ATS® began when she saw her first FatChanceBellyDance® performance in 2002. She fell in love instantly with the graceful display of feminine strength. Upon moving to London in 2005, Jesse was determined to foster and shape the UK’s burgeoning ATS® community. As co-founder of Moirai Tribal with Philippa Moirai, Jesse performed ATS® and hosted dance events throughout the UK. She continued to seek every opportunity to study with Carolena and FCBD®, and received her Teacher Training certification in 2008.
In 2012, Jesse relocated to the San Francisco Bay Area. She feels incredibly lucky to study and teach at the FCBD® studio, and performs regularly with FCBD® and Tessera Tribal Belly Dance. As a teacher, she enjoys infusing students with confidence and a sense of accomplishment. She loves building the dance community and forming connections with fellow dancers.
